Moment with An England Friend

Posted by Mea L. Antaim on Thursday, September 06, 2012
People ... do you think making friend is hard? How about keeping a friend when you have one ... is it hard? Making friend to a total stranger? Say like a foreigner? or Everyone that you bumped with?

I love making friends and meeting new people a lot .. mostly foreigner but the fact is ... it came to my dismay that i am not a good English spoken person so at times it will be very difficult for me to respond to whatever question or topic that being asked or discussed....But came to the point that i think it depends to which country does your new foreigner friends come from. Say if your new friend is from other Asian Country like Korea, then i have the feeling that i speak English more fluent than they do...(Exaggerating !!) but for country that English was their mother tongue ... then i believed i tent to ->back off<- a bit hahaha.

Lucky to have a friend (Yvonne) who speak very fluent English ... (Will write about her on the next post). When come to talking.... She will be the on who do the talk. LOL. She even good as a translator and I love being with her for her intelligent and bright character . (i said i will talk about her soon ... lets jump to the sweet moment Yvonne & I spent with Malcolm, the England man)

Malcolm was a nice English Man. He is older than my dad age and he is flexible, open minded type of person and he teach a lot of new English words ( together with the pronunciation) and told a few stories and tale (one of unforgettable story is about The True Story Of The Elephant Man) - You even can browse the story in Wikipedia. Also he is good in telling jokes ... ->LOL<-

With a short time spent with him, i kind of comfortable to be around him. Even when i speak wrong English, he never laugh but instead corrected me with some respect ... Thanks Malcolm!! In returned, Yvonne & i treat him visiting a few interesting places in KK. We went to Lok Kawi Zoo, Upside Down House (Rumah Terbalik), Tamparuli hanging Bridge,  Tun Fuad Stephen Jogging Track , Famous BB Cafe Live Band and show him around KK at night. We have had a good chat after all ... especially Yvonne, both them talked about a lot of things and i meanwhile became a very good listener to them. Lolx.

Even though Malcolm is not my direct acquaintance but yet through Yvonne i am happy to be given the opportunity to met Him. I really Hope He enjoys his stay at KK for that few days. So people, regardless of whatever ways do we meet our friend & Acquaintance, do appreciate each moment you spend with them & treat them good  for every person that step in & out from Our life, there must be "something" that we learn from them.

Happy Independent Day

Posted by Mea L. Antaim on Sunday, September 02, 2012
I have Been born as a Malaysian 27 years after the announcement of the Independent Day of Malaysia. Since after my birth, I belong to Malaysia and i am so grateful being the citizen to one of the Democratic country in the world. (i can't imagine myself belongs to other countries) ...Even  sometimes there are moment when i felt that other countries are much much more better than here and most of the time i look high on other developed country that excelled in not only their education system but also in many ways. But apparently, i enjoy my life in My own Country. yeah!! well most of the tourist & Traveler loves Malaysia specifically Borneo for its beauty and culture.

Does it true that "History will repeat itself"?? Or [History will not repeat itself ]?? Yes ... some point we need to admit that history will repeat again but not as the same situation or not as the same severity as before. People will aware and will takes early precaution to prevent from the same things to happen twice and if it does ... it will not as bad as before. What do you say about it? All for the while, School had teach us about the History of Malaysia and How Malaysia being rules by others British Colony & the process on how Malaysia claiming for become an Independence County .. all the facts are being taught in primary school, even secondary untill to the University and believe me for those who hate facts ... History was a boring subject. hahaha. But then we all still need to aware a bit about History because History may repeat itself ... who knows????

This year Independent Day was a very fantastic and great day to me. I joined the parade representing our department. There are many others government department and schools unit that also involved  in the parade. Each Parade consist of 36 person and i am one out of 36 person of our department. The good news : It was a nice day because its windy and we hardly see the sun. Thanks God!!

Along with the Parade show, there are others activities and performance shows by other non Uniforms Department .... tell you what, this year Independent Gimmick was the most happening Event ever with the air plane and helicopter crossing by bringing the National Flag .... Crowds on the street are clapping and enjoying the gimmick. (i am not excluded!!) at least their (whoever the crowds is) indirectly support shows great respect to the Country and the Government of where they belongs to. Come on!! every country has it own flaw though. So be grateful to every benefits that been given by the government today.

Happy Independent Day to all Malaysian.
